A storm warning flag flutters on a lifeguard’s chair, signalling that conditions are about to change.

What attracted me to this scene was its simplicity. The strong horizontal lines of the horizon contrast with the powerful vertical black bar of the chair, while the flagpole’s 45-degree angle disrupts the symmetry.

Upon reflection, however, the most eye-catching element might be the chair’s askew black-iron base, which adds an intriguing visual dynamic.
