Over the years, I've visited numerous Caribbean islands, sometimes for work, other times visiting family or on vacation. No matter the reasons, the inhabitants of those islands I have always found to be both colourful and interesting, offering irresistible photographic opportunities to an inquiring eye.

When asked to describe my style of photography photojournalism is the word I’d use. My camera is what a pencil and notebook are to a reporter.

This image stood out to me not just for its colourful presentation, but more for its whimsical nature. Despite the shop being plastered with Coca-Cola logos, including the roof, the customer in the frame is happily walking away sipping on a Pepsi. A perfect example of how no amount of advertising can guarantee loyalty—or results.

A humorous reminder that even the best-laid marketing plans can sometimes fall flat.
