Adam Sandler in "BILLY MADISON"
This was Adam's big debut as the leading man in a full-length feature film. The chaos behind the scenes was as wild as the movie itself! After two weeks of filming, the director and director of photography were shown the door faster than you can say "action." A new director and DOP swooped in, and we hit the reset button on the whole thing.
The storyline was classic Sandler—totally bonkers and packed with enough sexual innuendo to make a nun blush. It was the kind of movie that young guys aged 18-24 couldn't resist, like Moths to a Flame or frat boys to a keg.
This image was filmed at the Parkwood Estates' giant garden pools In Oshawa Ontario. Despite the pool's very shallow depth, two Sea-Doo watercraft were operated as Parkwood's management looked on with some trepidation.
Thirty years later people still mention having seen "Billy Madison" and recount it with fondness.
